I just looked at my SD70ACe like yours. The side frames are easily removed without removing the cab or dropping the truck. The two screws that hold it are clearly visible. Also, the part number is DB2104029001 for the right side and DB2104039001 for the left side frame. Email Midge Wilburn at MTH and see if she can help you. (midge@mth-railking.com) You can see all the engine part numbers from the MTH website. Go to service, then parts.
