RTR12 is correct! You do have to wire the push button into the system to maintain the LEDs. The negative leg of the LED is connected to the common on the push button. Since the SC-2 is what's connecting the common to either direction of the DZ-1000 the lights only illuminate when in motion from the switch being thrown, or if wired for non-derailing when a car passes over the isolated section giving a connection to common. Even if you have no plan on using the push button they can be wired in next to the SC-2 and the LEDs will work as normal provided you have room next to the mounting location of your SC-2.
