According to my instruction book, there is a "pass-thru" in the DCS Commander so that you can hook up DCC beyond it and run DCC locos with out any interference in the Commander. Hooked up that way one has a choice to run either. Thanks for the helpful discussion, guys.

I had one. It will pass DCC thru, but from what I remember, you might not be able to use them together.
