i am impressed by what people are capable of doing on this forum. i've seen some layouts that are so nice, they could be in the living room. my layout is a collection of folding tables with platforms on them. i use 1 x 4's to build a frame, put cross pieces in, and then fill the inside with a sheet of 2" foam. wires just dangle underneath and they are twisted and then taped. transformers are screwed into the 1 x 4. some day, i hope to actually build a "pretty" layout. for now, i enjoy throwing some track down, building a scene, running a few trains, and then tearing it up and starting over again. i'm 1 step above carpet central, but i'm too lazy to bend over.
