Here is the back of the postcard in question; RDG Fan is correct as to the circumstances, this was in the early 1970s.I personally don't see any face in the smoke, but my eyesight isn't what it used to be and I don't live in a place where marijuana is legal, LOL ...
FYI, the "OLD MAN IN THE MOUNTAIN" rock face in Franconia,NH, referenced by J. Daddy unfortunately collapsed due to natural causes in 2003.
