NOTE: I routinely operate a Lionel Classics with a BAL motor and motor driven whistle with three heavy state cars at 15 volts and 3.5 amps and with the whistle engaged, 5 amps. Total of 75 watts by the Z-4000 easily delivered with NO overload or overheating. The Z-4000 is a workhorse!
