House power through control panel

I have a dedicated 20A circuit for my layout. I would like to put a switch on my control panel that could switch a few outlets from that circuit. I'm comfortable with household wiring circuits. But I surely don't want to run 110v though my control panel. I'm a little fuzzy on relays. I assume I want to use a low voltage to control a relay to switch house 110V. So far, I have 5V and 12V active in my control panel, so a 5v/110v or 12v/110v relay is what I'm considering. I'm using mini toggles on the rest of my panel and would like to stay with that same format. Has anyone done this and have recommendations?
