I'm sure that's news to the artist, Chris White. He painted that piece as a commission for Playing Mantis' plastic model division, Polar Lights. They released the model back in 2001. Here's a pic of the front of the box:

The people at Playing Mantis and Chris White were so proud of the fine work, prints of it were handed out for promotional purposes. I was lucky enough to get the one shown below:
