Right now, my money would be on Lionel.

With the recent announcement of all new tooling for the SD40 and SD38, it's clear they feel investing in new tooling in this market is worth it.

The Lionel reps I spoke with when the SD40 was announced stressed they were making modular tooling so they could more easily make "other" locomotives, so let's hope they're paying attention to this thread.
