I know some of you are trying to be helpful, but the browser cache has absolutely NOTHING TO DO WITH ALERTS.

Here are the ACCURATE FACTS ABOUT ALERTS:

Alerts cannot be manually deleted.
Alerts will display in the order they were created, with most recent displaying first.
Whether read or unread, alerts drop off the list after 7 days.
If you have a large number of alerts to display, then pagination links will display to allow you to see them all.

If you don't want to get any more alerts, shut them off in your NOTIFICATIONS area. After a week, they'll be all gone.
