Charley Woods (CMT trains and previous owner of Classic Colors Restoration Paint) told me to use fabric softener with stainless media in a rotary tumbler. Been doing it for over 20 years. Takes about 24 hours, but works very well. Rinse in hot water, then dip in a tank of WD-40 and wipe dry.
