Reply to "How-To guide on making a “Pacific” series sleeping car"

So Bill, another resurrected thread from awhile back. 😉 To me, the length some of our model railroaders go for re-creating prototypical detail is mind-boggling. I just settle for whatever is out there to purchase and never mind if has the wrong trucks, incorrect window spacing, lettering, etc. If it looks close to the what the real thing looked like, that's good enough for me.

But I salute model railroaders like Mr. Albers for his attention to detail and willingness to make it look right. Those are fine cars and look great. A far cry from what I settle for. But when the trains are moving, my grandkids are content and don't seem to mind the generic, less detailed cars.
