How to remove roof section of new F40PH (20-20675-1) to access smoke unit switch?

I looked in the owner's manual and I see the removable roof sction is directly above the 3 louvered vents on each side. My question is where and how do I grasp the removable roof section? I must be missing something because I don't see a gap where I could insert my fingernail let alone something larger to pop off the roof section.

I don't use the smoke unit on my diesels and the engine came with smoke turned on so I have to turn the unit off.

Am I missing something here that is obvious to everyone else?
