I'm currently building my layout using Lionel Fastrack. I'm in the process of purchasing it a little bit at a time and it is expensive. I would also recommend looking at Ebay for rolling stock and track. I have bought most of my rolling stock from Ebay and I have had quite a good experience with it!

Thanks for the info! My father and I were looking at trains last night on eBay and he said that it's the way that I should go about buying trains, I am definitely going to start looking on eBay a little bit more often.
