I finally found a paint that sticks to brass like a barnacle....

........Vallejo Primer.  After a light bead blasting followed by a hot bath in the ultrasonic cleaner, I primed a number of brass log cars and decided to paint them several different colors, one of them green.  I used Tamiya medium green,  a big mistake.  I forgot it does not airbrush well and doesn’t dry flat,  plus it goes on very thick.  I decided to remove it and start over.  I dunked the cars into my  ultrasonic cleaner with some acetone and poof the green was gone but the grey primer remained tinted slightly green.  I decided to "clean" them in my blast cabinet using medium glass beads.  Surprise, surprise it stayed on the brass!  Once I cleaned up the rough spots I repainted them with PolyScale and all is well. That primer really sticks........
