I agree with both of these points.

This forum has a "ranking" option. I turned it on a few years ago using unique railroad terms like "Trainmaster", "Superintendent", "Engineer" , etc. It immediately started a firestorm over who outranked who. It was a bunch of childish nonsense. It became so troublesome for everyone that I just shut it off and forgot about it.

MartyE, I can appreciate your point, but without any ranking system here, it's much ado about nothing.
