***The Colors of AvaTAR-Union Railroad - Curtains and Rug***

Making progress on the infrastructure of the layout. I couldn't just  paint the one area for my use so I ended up scraping(and scaping) a good portion of the basement. Two coats of primer, one or more of waterproofing and two coats super-white high gloss.

Everything I have is in a box. The plan is still a plan. BUT I have my colors picked out for necessary curtains and a rug. I'm installing a suspended curtain rail so I can close off the area during and after construction.

I'm using 14 yards of silver bridal satin that's meant to portray the sleek aluminum passenger cars. I'll have a valance in segments of colors from each of the lines I'll be running on the layout. I'm still fine tuning the color tones but am liking the concept.

Tuscan red and gold for PRR, Grays for NYC, oranges for Milwaukee Road, greens for the North Coast Limited, Yellow and Red for Santa Fe  and red platinum  for the Golden State.

Where the curtains meet I'll add some sort of black material to mimic the vestibules.

The pathway to the washer will have a red carpet runner. I'm having a stencil made and intend to paint the famous 20 TH CENTURY LIMITED logo on it. Mockup of stencil -
