I went with brown hardboard from Home Depot, cut into 6” strips. Secured to 2x4 frame, filled/sanded at the joints, primed, and painted with metallic paint. “Rivets” are wooden button plugs painted a different shade of silver. Blue accessory activation buttons are made For arcade games:
