Yes, you can replace the remote if damaged or lost. Also the universal remote (available for about $40-50) can be used with any LC or LC+ loco, and will control 3 separate such locos, which is an advantage. All newer LC and LC+ locos from here on in will also have Bluetooth which can be operated from the free app on any smart device (telephone/tablet). Nothing to worry about if that's what you are getting at.
