The objects printed by a resin printer are isotropic strong in all directions; a PLA printer prints in vertical layers so it tends to be weaker in the Z-direction.  The layers may be visible and need sanding not so with a resin printer.

I like to model bolts and rivets because those small details makes the parts seem less plastic-like.
