I knew Eddie. He had been an electrician at Rockefeller Center and told me stories of how they used to make the strings of lights, ranging from 4 feet to 16 feet in length, that would be used on the Rockefeller Center Christmas Tree. He actually gave me a cookie tin of lightbulbs used on the tree. Eddie was indeed one of the nicest guys I've met in our hobby. We talked many times on the phone during his last few weeks before he was taken by Pancreatic Cancer.
