Run is defined as the horizontal distance (the X axis), not distance traveled. So 100% grade == 45 degrees.
Furthermore, here is a grade to degrees calculator, which confirms it -https://www.calcunation.com/ca...rcent-conversion.php.
For our modeling purposes though it's close enough - a 100" run at 4% grade = 100.08" of track.
