Drove about 5 hrs each way on Sat. but was well worth it.  Not a huge show, but had an excellent time.  Bought an engine and matching caboose, plus made arrangements on a 2nd engine to be picked up at the Cleveland show in Nov.  A big THANKS to Dan for putting this together.

Tell us more: What road names, who made 'em? Always interesting to hear what folks buy.

Someone said Bill Davis had 20 tables by himself. I've gone to meets where there wasn't much more than that!

I'm 10 hours one way or  you might have seen me!

Simon,

The engine I bought was a Sunset B&O T4a mountain and I-5D caboose, both NIB.  I bought it from a place called Caboose Stop Hobbies from Cedar Rapids Iowa.  The gentleman behind the table (I forget his name) had several tables and really good prices on most of his stuff.  He had a nice Overland USRA 2-8-2 painted for a B&O Q3 that was calling out to me, but the T4a was just too good of a deal to pass up.  He was busy as there always seemed to be 1 or 2 guys at his tables with their wallets out.

The engine I lined up for Cleveland was an unpainted C&LS RSD-12 and will wind up in NKP paint.

Yes, Bill Davis had a ton of stuff - I would say about 1/2 of the 1st pic from above were his tables.   He was there in force and was wheelin' and dealin'.  If I had not found the RSD-12, I think he would have sold me an MG Erie K5 that he had there.  Also, Allegheny Scale Models and Jim Hackworth had some nice stuff and if you talked to any of them, they had access to much more.

I have to say, this show went like I have always heard they should: met and talked with alot of good guys, found some GREAT deals on stuff I have been wanting for years and enjoyed myself.

The fellow behind the table for Caboose Stop Hobbies is Merlyn Lauber.     Very nice gentleman from the midwest; owns a bricks and mortar hobby shop.

Great to hear everyone had a good time!
