Installing ERR Cruise Commander M

While at York I purchased a K-Line Mikado with TMCC but no cruise. I went to All Aboard Trains and purchased the Cruise Commander M. The instruction manual shows installation in the Allegheny. Is it the same for the Mikado? How hard is the installation and is there anything to look out for?
