Installing Traction Tires On Lionel Green Alco FAs - Any Tips On Method & Tools?

Lionel included traction tires with my newly purchased Green Alco FAs that front the Green passenger set. The accompanying Operator's Manual states that the traction tires are included for those whose track system will not benefit from the Magnetraction in the locomotive.

In the brief discussion in the current Operator's Manual, the owner is referred to a Lionel Authorized Repair Facility (or technician) for the installation. Since my current track system is non-ferrous, has anyone attached the traction tires, and, if so, what is the procedure? Importantly is it necessary to remove and replace the trucks?
