Is the brightness of the Cab2 display adjustable?

I just received my 990 yesterday and spent some time reading, watching YouTube videos and loading engine info etc. Two questions I can’t find answers for.

The number pad portion of the display is so dim, I can’t see the symbols. The upper display is fine. Are the displays adjustable?

I was able to load my TMCC steamer into the system just fine. Engine initially runs at a slow pace, but can’t seem to speed it up with the red control wheel. Within a period of 2 minutes or so it is to run even slower. Eventually it just barely creeps along. I tried “boost”, adjusted braking slide, etc. No joy.

When I disconnect the Command base and go back to conventional, the engine is fine. I thought maybe if I clear engine out of the system and start over, that might work. I also tried changing to Cab1 mode instead of TMCC with no luck.

Any help please?
