Reply to "Is the LC+ universal remote capable of a lash up with 3 different types of LC+ Locos?"

AND- the same item numbered LC+ locomotives will probably perform differently, enough so that they cannot be run together even under one remote (Universal or otherwise).

And (all should know)  LC+ locomotives of recent (2017+??) manufacture are very different than the originals:

1.  New metal geared trucks.  I had a failure that was probably my fault- ballast in a plastic tooth.

2.  The new metal geared trucks seem to be of a different (lower) gear ratio and older ones run away from them.

3.  The boards are very different in terms of the plug arrangement.

4.  Plus the stated differences in Lionel's information, like Bluetooth-capability, and improved sound.

I had hoped to simply transfer the main PC board and the guts of the remote from a Peabody Coal RS-3 (2018 manufacture) to my original-issue PRR RS-3 (2014).  After I saw the big difference in the boards- I just put back together and now have 2 PRR RS-3s  (what I wanted, but)  not two PRR RS-3s that can be run at the same time from different remotes.  AND a Peabody Coal BT model.

From what I see- it appears that Lionel will be moving toward fully-compatible (Universal Remote, BT, TMCC and Legacy.) LionChief Locomotives - now being called LionChief Plus 2.0.
