I had to look back to the beginning of the thread (wow, it' been over a year!) to see what kind of track system you have.  And perhaps it's changed?  Anyway, if still tubular, I don't have that myself, but there have been many threads on DIY insulated track sections here on OGR and elsewhere.  For example, the OP in this OGR thread asks your question almost verbatim!
