A rather odd situation developed this week at the Everett Team Track and Community Park. An ATSF boxcar was impounded by the Everett PD!
This all stems from an event back at the old Everett Team Track where Township Trustees had installed parking meters to generate some easy cash from the Valley Railway.
Because the railway refused to participate in the program, quite a number of freight cars had been ticketed. Among them was ATSF 152292. In a rather unfortunate stroke of luck, 152292 happened to travel back over the Valley Railway on it's way to Canton. An ambitious Everett police officer spotted the car and ordered the train's engineer to leave it on the team track.
There the car sat for several days while the Santa Fe decided what to do next. Rather than pay the fine, they sent trucks to retrieve the cargo and take it to Canton.

I've been waiting for this all day!
