I put a signal relay together for a friend's setup. I have actually been able to put both an Arduino and IR board under the track. I drilled two small holes for the LEDs to poke through and hot glued it on. I also drilled a tiny hole for the sensitivity screw. I don't really have good pictures. I used a plasticville tower for the relay and VR.
