Reply to "Ives 3243 help needed"

Sam, The passenger cars associated with your version of 3243 (Early 1st Series, Rubber Stamped), would consist of the 187, 188, 189 Early cars, with rubber stamping.  IT would have been found in the Set# 704, and all date to 1921-1924.  After 1924 the Brass plates were used, starting in 1925.  Below is a link from the Ives website.

You can do some of your own research on the website, but here is a tip to searching.  Using "Google", type in 'Ives 3243 train', which will bring up a few hits, and look for one titled 3243 Electrics 1925-1928 - The Ives Train Society.    You can also search for the Set 704, by using Google, and that will have a few additional hits.  Google is your friend with a lot of this research !!!  Have fun reading.
