These cars were made by the John Daniel's Railway Lines starting around 1981 (please, not JAD). They came in 4 different color combinations: Tuscan Red, Brunswick Green, Black Diamond and Blue Comet. The Tuscan variation was the most produced, the Blue Comet the least. They were originally sold as a 3-car set with the Club car and Diner as add-on cars later. They show up from time to time at York or at auction. Persistence is key when looking for one of these sets. Buy them as a set with as many cars as you want, the odds of finding separate cars after the fact is hard. But, if a seller on ebay splits up the set, then you have a chance.
