Dave,  The Lighting is Lionel's factory-installed LED "Flicker-Free" Lighting Bars that go up the middle of the car interior roof.

They do seem brighter than normal, but the blue interior plastic may be affecting what we see.  . . . Or the factory may have used the lights from the Heavy Weight cars that had the dark green tinted windows. It is different, but why?  What is the change the factory made?  I do not have an answer but feel that it appears different from previous 21" passenger cars.

Just asking, trying to come up with lighting for  my weaver  morning Hiawatha cars. I am also doing the full interior!
