John I hear you , the flickering light have driven me nutz since my tinplate days and until I purchased a Big Hauler set for , at the time , my 6 month old son. Their solution was a battery mounted in a tool box under the car , to power the lights. Simple and effective .
Now I have a general knowledge of grain of wheat/grain of rice bulbs, ect but I know nothing of LEDs except how to burn them up, and have had little luck finding lighting kits. The prototype train I am working on now is from the mid mid 1930's and needs to have nice warm lighting , but not to bright as to burn the passengers to cinders , like some I have seen from lionel and mth, Any suggestions?.....PS my thread is on the 2 rail section.
