Finishing up today's switching job:
Tomorrow's AM freight consist is spotted out of the way behind the old Depot and the Dinner Train is victualed-up, the Chefs are at work and the Wait staff is ready. Waiting for this evening's Dinner patrons to board:
Five minutes before train time the Salmon-in-foil will go in the ovens. Fillet Mignon will go on the grill 3 three minutes after the train starts to move. The Duck is already baked and is being held warm. As with some Dining Cars back-in-the-day Patrons pre-order because the timing is fairly exact to serve this many meals in this length of time from a tiny kitchen. There are three dinner calls: at 5:00, 6:00 and 7:00. The trip out-and-back is one hr and the scenery, while not stunning, is aesthetically pleasing as the train rolls along the banks of Oil Creek.
