but I was actually referring to the design with the separate pilot and coupler mount, vs. the one piece guy here. This design worked well for the Williams GP9 chassis, because the body shell just sits on top of the chassis, and because there are no handrails and so on to worry about. So there's really no need to separate the two functions. But that's a pretty basic model. I think for models with more detail, the separate structural coupler mount approach would work better, for the reasons described in the other thread.
