Reply to "KITBASHED VICTORIAN STATION"

"c.sam", and "mtb".....I had to dig the box out, and found that this was a Micro-Mark

kit #81667 of the still existing Fanwood, N.J. CNJ station.  (when buying it I had to remember that gingerbread styling like this was common all over the country in the 1880's, and very common in Colorado Springs, so I could use it far west of N.J.).  I also was surprised that Micro-Mark made this kit...and wonder what else they have made in O scale.  I'd like to hear about others.  This kit included pages and pages of

instructions and drawings...and involved a lot of prepainting of small parts, contrasting window frames, etc.  The NY wine country station whose tower I  "borrowed" to add, is on the Bath and Hammondsport, I think also is still standing.  The photos included with the kit show a tan building with brown roof and trim.  My railroad's colors are aspen yellow and spruce green, so that shows up on structures and rolling stock.

As for "cantilevered", had to check out the meaning of that, found it has two meanings, but one of them involves the use of bracket supports, and the porch roof does have bracket supports around it under the overhang.
