Have you tried instead using a 33 volt or 36 volt TVS diode onboard the problem engines to clamp the transients?

Another solution would be to change the switches over to DC fixed accessory voltage with Bob Nelson's CD circuit so you can park on the switches without the buzzing, or overheating the solenoids.
