In late 1980, after my grandfather was killed she built me (8 years old at the time) a 4x8 layout with a loop of track and some green construction paper. That was a huge undertaking for a single mother with four mouths to feed on a school teacher salary in the big city. Great memories.
Hi Frank, my old 4x8 layout had an O-36 outside loop with a half length straight track on the ends in the middle of the loop.
On the inside I had an O-36 figure 8. All track was Fastrack.
