LCCA Charter Members in Lombard IL

I had the privilege of meeting up with 5 charter members of the Lionel Collectors Club of America (LCCA) last week at the 48th Annual Convention in Lombard IL. Back in 1970 charter member #1 Jim Gates of Des Moines IA and 83 other charter members formed the LCCA. The club has grown ever since with a purpose of promoting and fostering an interest in Lionel trains specifically and the toy train hobby in general. Thank you gentlemen for starting the LCCA, “The Best Toy Train Club on the planet!
