Alan, TMCC, Legacy, DCS, cruise control, etc. solve no "problems", they just enhance enjoyment of the operation of our trains! You can run without any of those solutions.

Why are you railing against this so hard? If you don't like the system, I suggest you save your money for the next 1950's set that comes up for sale.
