Reply to "LCS Wi-Fi Module Connection Issue"

Thanks for your follow-up, Jim. I believe everyone with the “can’t join to network” problem has resolved their issue, in Harvy's case by using a different router and the others by using the LCS WiFi monitor LE to key in the network name and password, thus avoiding the need to use WPS.

We also learned (thanks Bruce!) that having a blank WPS password prevents some routers from establishing a connection with the LCS WiFi module. On his layout, adding a password allowed a WPS connection to routers that previously would not connect to LCS WiFi.

So, anyone trying to use WPS to establish an LCS WiFi connection should be sure their network has a non-blank password!

Regarding your question: If you are experiencing reliable connection to your LCS WiFi module when in Access Point mode, but unreliable connection when in Join To Network, I’m not sure how I can help. We have many users who exclusively use Join To Network who are not experiencing this issue and so I can only assume there is something else happening in your network environment that is contributing to the problem. However, if you want to contact customer service and try swapping out your LCS WiFi module, I’ll let them know I suggested we try this. If you want to proceed, please contact Customer Support directly to get the ball rolling.
