LED LIGHTS

Going to add LED lighting to Lionel Pullman Passenger cars (6-19068 +6 of the same car different name).

I have the lighting regulator(s) and considering using 5 V 3528 LED Bulbs or maybe the 2835.

Is 5 volt enough or should 12 V be used?

The cars are pulled by a VL Hudson and powered with a 180 Lionel brick.
