Yes the crewtalk is silly but it "seems" Lionel went out of the way with pre-legacy locos getting unique voices with accents from the particular part of the country where the RR was based. It doesn't matter, but now most locos with the exception of the 765(of course) have the same two voices.
Come On Hot Water, your taking all of the fun out of the non-prototypical radio chatter. My favorite is on my Bawston&Awlbany 0-8-0, "fifty-twee heeya",or "We're awf to da clam bake"!
