FlyinHighOGR Forum Member, I need to apologize, I thought I had put a Mini-2 into that GP 20 but when I turned it over I saw the program/run switch, I remembered then that I put a Cruise Lite into that locomotive. I actually now do not have a Flyer engine with the Mini-2 in it. What I will add here though are additional pics of that Milw. Rd GP with the Cruise Lite and sound. As I had mentioned the Mini-2 will be an easier fit because of the size, it is a hair shorter than the C-L plus the height is less and without sound it is a very easy install.
In the pictures the white object to the right is a speaker for the sound, the Cruise Lite is next to the speaker, and if you look very closely at the top view you can see where the C L ends and the sound board starts.
The wires on each end go to the headlights, they are directional controlled, what is not shown is the antenna wire which was later attached to the top of the shell with hot glue.
I hope this will help you,
These four bottom pictures are of an American Models GP30 with a Mini-2 installed, the loose black wire is the antenna wire. The A M engine allows less area for the Mini-2 by reason of the motor being in the center of the locomotive supplying drive to both of the trucks, the Flyer engines have the motor as part of the power truck on the cab end.
