Define "applied power". Was it a continuous 18 VAC that was switched on, as if turning on the power switch on top of your PH-180 which is directly connected to the track?

Or, or you have a Legacy PowerMaster between your PH-180 and the track and apply power to the track going from 0 to 18 VAC by smoothly spinning the knob on your handheld?
