I became interested in modeling the Rutland a few years ago. They only owned 1 outside braced boxcar. Difference was from what was available. The car ends were wood rather than steel. I decided to scratchbuild one from wood. I did use a existing Atlas chassis and a few commercially made detail parts. It came out okay. I basically just eyeballed the few pictures I could find. It’s not going to win any contests. But I have a unique car for RR.
