The Marx motor is the perfect transplant for many applications. I like to use them to restore the old American Flyer cast iron locos.

I restored this one with a Marx one way motor. I thinks it is an AF#14

This is an AF #3195 I restored with a Marx Double Reduction motor.

I try not to modify the shell to the point that it can not be put back to original given a good AF motor.
