@Don McErlean posted:Here are a few from my 2021 Christmas "layout" .
Here is "old faithful" , my $10 Marx 400 plastic engine pulling the train after disaster struck on Christmas Eve and my expensive Lionel engine just would not run. Luckily for me...all the "sounds and effects" are in the tender so all that worked with the Marx loco as well.
Here is "you know who" riding along on the NYC caboose. We are from Waco,Tx (home of the birth of "Dr. Pepper" so that Christmas car is a must!
Here is the Christmas village crew...Now the stationmaster can see why getting a Coke out of the machine is tough!!
Christmas village and snow man water tower.
Here is video of the train in operation.
Well Happy Christmas everyone. @Garrett76 - I have to say, with a layout at Christmas that beautiful and elaborate, you must start the process of putting it up on 4th of JULY!!
Best wishes all
Don
Thanks. I had about 1/2 of it built the prior year. The two tedious elements were painting the backdrop and wiring the accessories. Since that's done, this year's setup will go much quicker. We had a Christmas party in early Dec. The deadline forced me to go into overtime to get everything done. My goal every year is a completed layout by Thanksgiving.
