I don't use the glycerin straight it is used in a mix I think the formula was 2 parts water 1 part glycerin and what ever color dye i wanted to make. I do boil it outside and have never had any problems with fire even when the pot boiled over on a gas stove nothing ever caught fire.Just my experience with the stuff.
